Poste

1. Job purpose

To plan and prepare the work required to be performed on the aircraft and maintenance contracted in from third parties. Coordinate with both the Operator and the Maintenance Provider, undertake efficient planning and deployment of staff to ensure tasks and work can be performed in an efficient and timely manner, whilst remaining within the constraints of regulations, guidelines, frameworks and operational requirements.

2. Major responsibilities

  • To effectively and efficiently plan the work required to be performed on the fleet of aircraft.
  • To ensure that the maintenance requirements of the Approved Maintenance Programs are performed.
  • Monitor deferred maintenance ensuring rectification work is carried out within allowable deferral.
  • To monitor the continuation of the work in progress and alert the Airworthiness Manager and the Maintenance Manager of potential delays.
  • Ensure timely ordering of replacement parts and monitor their delivery.

3. Job scope

To plan the work required to be performed on the aircraft operated by the Company and maintenance contracted in from third parties.

  • Producing a short and a long term (1 to 6 months) maintenance forecast.
  • Ensuring the Part 145 Maintenance Organization has the resources available to undertake the scheduled work and, if necessary, determining the need for contracted assistance and/or outsourcing specific work.
  • Drafting tolerance utilization request as necessary and manage the approval of the Airworthiness Manager.
  • Selecting of/making arrangements with contractors to perform specific work such as; paint, ultra-sonic inspections, sheet metal activities.
  • Ordering spare parts in a timely manner and monitoring their delivery to ensure they are available for the maintenance activity.
  • Order any special tooling required and monitoring their delivery to ensure they are available for the maintenance activity.
  • Liaise with all internal and external bodies to ensure everyone is informed of any updates or changes.
  • Making adjustments to the planning in case of delays.

To make preparations for the work to be performed in such a way that it can be done according to the planning. This includes:

  • Composition of work packages and issuing work-orders in cooperation with the Airworthiness Manager in such a way that the rescheduling of maintenance or grounding of helicopters will be restricted to a minimum.
  • Ensure all maintenance instructions are available.
  • Arranging, as necessary, assistance by third parties for the performance of specific work, plus the preparation of the work orders to that effect.
  • Provide Work Scope to Part 145 Maintenance Department and ensure scope of work is understood.
  • Monitor the progress of inspection and advise Airworthiness Manager and Maintenance Manager of any anticipated delays. Make any adjustments to the planning schedule that are necessary to prevent or reduce delays.
  • Liaising with spare parts provider (Supply Chain) to ensure parts are delivered as soon as practicable.

Performance of various other tasks relating to the job, which include:

  • Closure of work-reports and ATL
  • Participating in weekly planning meeting.
  • Drawing up lists of required materials for planned maintenance tasks (Bills of material).
  • Drawing up periodic reports relating to the work performed by the Technical Department.
  • Indicating what the maximum utilization is per machine per period of time
  • Recommending spare parts min/max settings for stores.

Profil

  • Engineering degree in aeronautics.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of aircraft maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
  • Work in a structured and precise manner.
  • At least one-year previous experience in a similar role.
