ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Maintains and regularly updates the financial records of the KAS- projects;
- Coordinates with KAS Country Representative and Project coordinators, on finances, cash flows, accounting, and budget control;
- Consolidates the monthly financial report for the Projects that will be submitted to the KAS headquarters in Berlin/Germany;
- Checks and works with the KAS in-house document management system, used for financial filing of the project expenditures;
- Communicates effectively to the Project Coordination team the financial status, including the challenges and opportunities, and offers solutions to address such;
- Monitors the availability of funds, completeness of documents, and correctness of the computation and financial reports;
- Assists the external audit team in the performance of their tasks;
- Performs other administrative duties that are required by the employer;
- Supervises the procurement process and arrange contractual documents
Profil
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA); or equivalently 1 to 3 years of experience in financial management and book-keeping;
- Proficient in current office software applications;
- Open minded and interested to get in touch with new software applications (Project accountancy is carried out within an in-house accountancy system in German);
- Excellent track record of at least two years experiences in project financial management and auditing;
- Background in Moroccan law and administration
- Service-oriented, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, but always completes task before deadlines;
- Effective communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills;
- Acts in accordance with accepted behavior and values of integrity and accountability, as required by the employer;
- Highly interested in the Moroccan political landscape and ‘South-South cooperation’
- Excellent knowledge of English, French and Arabic in writing and speaking
- Professional experience in an international organization/NGO would be advantageous.
